The Work is a reflective practice inside SHOE.BLUE. You bring things you have already met into a small vessel — particular items, and relationships that have already become readable — and you watch how those materials sit together.

The meeting may resolve into a reading: an interpretation of how those things relate under the question you brought. Meaning is not fixed. The Work is a way to look at something differently.

A formed reading is one of a small closed set of interpretations. Meeting the same title again, under a different question or a different arrangement, is the instrument working — not a new prize to collect.
