Acacia
Acacia as a plant people have named and used. Thorn shade, desert wood, gum tear — one living kind, not a single symbol.
Acacia is used in Medicine.
Dioscorides’ De Materia Medica lists acacia (akakia) gum and juice among astringent eye and mouth drugs. A named acacia in that handbook, not a desert-thorn dump alone and not frankincense as a different resin already walked.

Labdanum is used in Acacia.
In Culpeper’s English Physician, labdanum is mixed with acacia and other powders into the hot Diaphoenicon plaister — acacia enters the same stomach-and-liver plaister as the labdanum.
