Hypocrisy

Beliefs & concepts

The named moral fault of feigning virtue one does not hold. Not vainglory as craving praise alone, and not honesty as the opposing frankness.

Islam

  • Hypocrisy appears in Islam.

The Qur’an repeatedly exposes the munāfiqūn — hypocrites who say belief with their mouths while hearts withhold. Islamic anti-hypocrisy speech in that revelation, not kufr as open disbelief alone and not a generic vice dump.
