Monotheism

Beliefs & concepts

The named stance that one supreme god holds reality. Not polytheism as many gods, and not pantheism as god-is-all.

Islam

  • Monotheism appears in Islam.

The Qur’an’s tawḥīd speech insists on the oneness of God against partners. Islamic monotheism in that revelation, not polytheism as a checklist opposite alone and not a modern -ism textbook label without the text.
