Praesepe

Cosmos

The Beehive cluster in Cancer — a soft mist to the naked eye. Not Cancer the figure alone, and not a hive-object dump.

  • Praesepe appears in Astrology.

Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos treats the cloudy Manger in Cancer among fixed-star and weather-neighbor speech. A named Praesepe in that handbook, not cancer the sign alone and not a beehive-biology dump.
