Quiver

Objects

A named case for carrying arrows or bolts of long archery practice. Not an arrow alone, not a bow, and not a generic bag dump.

Shinto

  • Quiver appears in Shinto.

The Kojiki’s mountain-hunt and campaign archery imply the quiver as the arrow-bearing gear of luck-of-the-mountains and imperial war roads. Named quiver beside bow-and-arrow work in that narrative, not yumi alone and not a museum-archery dump.
