A count near a lunar month in several folk and ritual tallies. Lunar mansions and ordinary weeks-of-four are local uses, not one moon-number.

Māori tradition

  • Twenty-eight appears in Māori tradition.

Matamua’s Matariki sky teaching uses twenty-eight-night lunar count neighbors among Māori sky time. A named twenty-eight in that Matariki context, not a bare lunar-mansion dump from another culture.
