Plankton

Plankton are a way of living, not a single lineage. Phytoplankton photosynthesize. Zooplankton eat. Together they make much of the ocean’s organic carbon.

The card does not keep Plankton as a type. The unseen drifters feed Microbe; the water and light they live in take their share; Whale receives a little of the food web that ends in baleen.
