B
description
B is pitch class 11 — eleven semitones above C, one semitone below the octave return. It is a natural letter-name (Si or Ti in solfège), the white key between A♯/B♭ and C.
As the last step before C repeats, it is the leading tone in a C-major frame: a half-step that leans toward the tonic by interval, not by prophecy. The pitch class itself is simply the eleventh of twelve.
In major-triad grammar B is the root of B major (B–D♯–F♯), the major third of G major (G–B–D), and the perfect fifth of E major (E–G♯–B). Alone it stays a pitch class. Three notes of a recognized major chord may open a vessel offering.
In The Work this face is a Music Note — collected from The Atlas and carried on its own map, apart from Tokens and Cards. Alone it stays a pitch class. Three notes that form a recognized major chord may open a vessel offering; arbitrary threes do not.
This page does not name other notes as linked related items and does not unlock a map word.
Place three notes of a major triad in The Work to open a chord offering. A return is another meeting, not a collection.
