Breath + Ice

Rime is an emergent relationship within SHOE.BLUE: what becomes readable when Breath and Ice meet.

Ice is water locked in a lattice that floats. Breath is air made personal for a moment, carbon riding out of a lung. Where they meet, the outgoing air drops its water onto the cold: a white that was a gas a second ago. The body did not mean to write. The cold did not mean to record.

Rime is that brief deposit. Water and Air take the split; Cycle is the freeze; Carbon is what the lung was moving. The pairing is not weather as backdrop. It is a living column discovering it can frost, and a lattice discovering it can take a signature from a mouth.

The Work is a way to sit with a relationship once it has become readable.
