Orbit + Rotation

Revolution is an emergent relationship within SHOE.BLUE: what becomes readable when Orbit and Rotation meet.

An Orbit is falling that never finishes: enough sideways speed to miss the body you are falling toward. Rotation is a body turning on itself, the origin of day and of a sky that rises and sets. One is the year. The other is the day. Together they are why a climate has a pulse and a noon.

Revolution is those two turns recognized as one clock. Cycle takes the card; Gravity and Motion are the mechanics. The pairing is not astronomy as ornament. It is a planet that has to spin to have a day, and has to fall to have a year, and the fact that those two permissions are not the same permission.

The Work is a way to sit with a relationship once it has become readable.
