Sediment + Stratum

Deposit is an emergent relationship within SHOE.BLUE: what becomes readable when Sediment and Stratum meet.

Sediment is the load after the carrying: grit water and wind put down when they can no longer lift it. A Stratum is that load after it has become a bed, then another bed, until a cliff is years stacked. One is the putting-down. The other is the clock the putting-down became.

Deposit is the relationship between leftover grit and readable time. Stone and Age take the card; Water is the usual carrier; Memory is the sense that a pile can be read. The pairing is not geology as museum. It is how a planet files what it has already worn, and how a file is only sediment that stayed.

The Work is a way to sit with a relationship once it has become readable.
