Hedgehog

Beings · Nature

Hedgehog as an animal people have named and used. Soft center, rolled defense, night forage — one living kind, not a single symbol.

  • Hedgehog is used in Medicine.

Pliny’s Natural History treats the hedgehog among land animals with flesh, skin, and quills entering Roman pharmacological speech. A named hedgehog in that encyclopedia, not porcupine as the larger quilled beast and not a modern pet dump.
