Ovid’s Metamorphoses Book 15 gives Pythagoras a long speech on metempsychosis and cosmic change that frames the poem’s closing ethic. A named Pythagoras in that poem, not a biography dump and not phoenix as the only emblem from that speech.

Pythagoras is used in Right angle.
In Vitruvius’s Ten Books on Architecture, Pythagoras showed that a right angle can be formed with three rules of three, four, and five feet joined tip to tip — the right-angle triangle is the method he teaches without the carpenter’s square.
