Mist

Mist is droplets small enough to hang: a cloud at ground, a veil over a field or a river at dawn. Light scatters in it. Distances shorten.

Mist is not a type. It feeds Water first, then Air. Light takes the scatter. The occult name is a veil; the map keeps the weather at walking height.
