Valknut

Symbols · Numbers & forms

A named cluster of interlocking triangles in later Norse image-reception. Not a generic knot, and not a tourist “Viking logo” dump.

Norse tradition

  • Valknut appears in Norse tradition.

Norse mark speech received through Eddic culture seats the valknut among triply-interlocked forms tied to Odin’s world. A named valknut form in that tradition’s Atlas source neighborhood, not triquetra as a Celtic knot and not a modern tattoo dump.
