Salt

Common salt is sodium chloride, but seawater holds many ions. Rivers dissolve rock; the ocean keeps what does not precipitate. Cells spend energy to keep their own salt balance.

Salt is also a human mark: preservation, boundary, circle. The card allows that without turning it into a Charm. Brine, Shell, evaporite, and the body’s ions on the map feed Salt.
