Bone + Fossil

Remnant

Remnant is an emergent relationship within SHOE.BLUE: what becomes readable when Bone and Fossil meet.

Bone is a living mineral. A Fossil is a mineral that used to be a life. Both keep shape after softness has gone. One still belongs to a body that eats. The other belongs to rock that does not. The kinship is the refusal to forget a form.

Remnant is that leftover architecture. Memory and Human take the near reading; Age and Stone take the far one. The pairing is not a grave. It is the fact that structure can outlast the process that built it, in a limb or in a cliff.

The meeting

What a body and a stone both refuse to forget.
