Lava + Mountain

Uplift is an emergent relationship within SHOE.BLUE: what becomes readable when Lava and Mountain meet.

Lava is stone that has taken enough heat to flow. A Mountain is stone piled high enough to make its own weather. One arrives molten and hardens. The other is the pile that remains after many arrivings, or after a crust has been shoved until it stands.

Uplift is the making of height, not the wearing of it. Fire and Stone take the card; Gravity is what the pile must keep answering; Age is how long the answering lasts. The pairing is not a volcano as spectacle. It is melt becoming a stand, and a stand remembering it was once allowed to move.

The Work is a way to sit with a relationship once it has become readable.
